Furniture Stores in Hua Hin

Not long ago, the supply of furniture and interior stores in Hua Hin was rather poor. Someone who wanted to furnish or decorate a house or a condo either had to choose among a few local stores or to go on a shopping trip to Bangkok. As recently as in the beginning of this decade, the most complete store was the CABINET Interior Design. But things have changed. Since 2005, a wide variety of players have entered the Hua Hin market. Traveling to Bangkok in order to find furniture today is an unproductive engagement for a property owner based in Hua Hin.

The CABINET Interior Design

The CABINET was established already back in 1997, not long before the major financial crisis in South East Asia. Back then, Index was the biggest competitor in Hua Hin. Yet, Index was not able to survive the aftermaths of the crisis, which left the CABINET virtually without competition on the Hua Hin market. The company kept this outstanding position for many years, and was in fact the only interior store that was able to supply the market with European kitchens. This gave the CABINET and its Swedish management and owner a unique position on the market. In 2006, an extensively expanded showroom was inaugurated. Despite the fact that the competition on the market is much more intense nowadays, the CABINET has managed to keep its position as the leading supplier of European kitchens in Hua Hin. You will find the CABINET on the main road, Petchkasem Road, just next to Hua Hin’s only Shell station and Black Mountain’s sales office — opposite Soi 47/1.

World of Luxury Furniture

The first player to start competing with the CABINET was World of Luxury Furniture (“W.O.L.F.”). Located south of town, right after the flyover and just next to GDL Pool Shop (opposite the Land Department), this store specialises in rustic, high quality furniture in exclusive style — often made of water hyacinth, teak wood or leather. Even though the prices are higher than you would expect in Thailand, you will find a variety of furniture, still at reasonable prices, to choose from.

Index Living Mall

Based on a franchise concept, Index Living Mall was the first of the largest furniture stores with national coverage to (re-)open in Hua Hin in the Fall of 2005. With a major showroom complex just next to Soi 23 north of the town, Index Living Mall is the biggest centre in Hua Hin when it comes to furniture. The showroom also accommodates the TV/stereo/capital goods specialist Pure Electric. In addition to beds, coaches and office furniture, you will here find all accessories and decoration you might ask for in order to be able to reach a complete set of interior and furniture for a house or a condo in Hua Hin.

HomePro/S.B. Furniture

Located on the second floor of Market Village, the combination between the two home interior chains HomePro/S.B. Furniture was the second large actor to enter the Hua Hin market. HomePro is a bit similar to German Bauhaus, with the exception that you here also find everything from Jacuzzis and flat screen TVs to paint and screws. S.B. Furniture provides European kitchens with granite counters as well as dining and lounge sets. Clearly spoken, at HomePro you will find everything you would request for your new home, whereas S.B. Furniture provides quality furniture of Western standard at relatively attractive prices.

Asian Living
Also Asian Living has Swedish management. Located just next to the Hua Hin Land Office, this “open air” show room opened in early 2006. Specialised in made-to-order designed pieces of furniture, Asian Living works as closely with property developments as with individual customers. Owner and manager Johan welcomes you to bring your own drawing when calling in. On 1 March 2008, a second branch was opened in Huay Yang, 130 kilometers south of Hua Hin.

Kitchen Solutions
Kitchen Solutions has probably been Hua Hin’s fastest-growing kitchen provider since its opening in 2006. With a large show room dedicated to kitchens, located just before the entrance to the Palm Hills Golf & Country Club, “solutions” are available to most kitchen needs — especially when it comes to the high-end segment. In 2007, an adjoining show room for bathroom fit outs was opened under the name of Tile & Bath Solutions. On display is a wide selection of surface materials, foremost tiles — again with an orientation towards the higher-end segment. Both show rooms are under American management.

Winner Furniture Center

On the main road right after Soi 12, a couple of kilometres north of town, Winner Furniture Center has an impressive showroom. Despite the fact that some furniture here looks a bit cheap, you will find some really good stuff at attractive prices. Without exaggerating, Winner is most likely the furniture store in Hua Hin that gives you the best value for your money.

Beautiful World

Beautiful World is a small furniture store located near Index Living Mall, just before Soi 23 coming from the north. The shop is a part of the nationwide chain with the same name. Asian Living specialises in exclusive wooden furniture in Asian style. The furniture is commonly designed with elements of water hyacinth and cane. At Beautiful World, design somewhat comes at the expense of the price.
