Central European & Anglo-Saxian Food

The Italian kitchen is very well represented in Hua Hin. The focus is in most cases on pasta dishes and pizzas. Also German food can be found at many places in town. When it comes to Anglo-Saxian food, which can be found in all corners of the world, Hua Hin has it too; most of the well-known fast food restaurants are represented. However, Anglo-Saxian food prepared in a slower pace and with healthier content is represented below.

iHuaHin.com recommends:

  • Brasserie De Paris — no doubt is this restaurant, run by Belgian Thierry, one of the absolutely best dining places in Hua Hin. The meat, which is being imported from New Zeeland, is just lovely and always perfectly grilled. At the same time is the service of the highest order — the restaurant staff pay careful attention to the guests. We strongly recommend Filet de Boeuf Grillé ”Café De Paris” at 495 baht and Filet de Boeuf Grillé ”Béarnaise” at the same price. Should you be looking for an extraordinary dining experience, the three-course menu of the night is another good option.
  • ”Opposite Hilton” — opposite the Hilton at Naresdamri Road, you will, in addition to pasta and pizza, find fantastically well-prepared and culinary Italian specialities that can be enjoyed to great satisfaction. The restaurant is not one of the largest in town, but is one of the best according to both westerners and many locals. However, fill up your wallet before booking a table.

  • La Grappa — another Italian restaurant providing delicious foud. You will find La Grappa at Poolsuk Road at the intersection with the well known bar street Soi Bintabaht. With luxurious interior, the restaurant is a challenge for your taste buds as well as for your wallet.

  • La Paillote — the French cuisine in Hua Hin is chiefly represented through a restaurant that is nicely located opposite the main entrance to the Sofitel on Naresdamri Road. In addition to French specialities, some Thai dishes are also served. The food quality is high — the prices even higher.

  • Pasta Factory — not only has it the most tasteful interior of Hua Hin’s restaurants, it is also one of the most popular. Its location opposite Market Village is convenient, even if the location to some extent comes at the expense of noise. Here you will find European, Italian, Asian and Thai dishes. The prices are reasonable, especially when taking into account the fact that some portions are rather small.

  • Sunshine — serves the best Wiener schnitzel in town. The restaurant is located on a very small soi that crosses Naresdamri Road, opposite the entrance to the Hilton. Among the delicacies you will find on the menu is sausages with sauerkraut. The prices at Sunshine are relatively high.

  • Papa John — this exclusive steak house used to be located opposite the large entrance to the Sofitel on Naresdamri Road but has recently moved to Khao Takiab. The style of the food is Anglo-Saxian and the menu is heavily filled with different kind of steaks that come with French fries. You can find food that is less expensive at many places; however, you will barely find many restaurants in Hua Hin where the portions dishes are as generous as at Papa John’s.

  • Great American Rib — on the second floor of the newly established Sailom Pavilion in the middle of the city, you will find Hua Hin’s leading exponent of the American kitchen. If you are really hungry, you may well be duly satisfied with the American-sized portions of ribs with mashed potatoes.
