Kaeng Krachan Country Club & Resort

Near the country’s largest national park with the same name lies Kaeng Krachan Country Club & Resort — an 18-hole, par-72 course, designed by Chird Boonyaratavej, which has received good reviews in recent time. Above all, the course has been commended for its unusually good quality being an inland course. The fairways are nice and the surrounding environment is very pretty. Nevertheless, from time to time the greens can somewhat sluggish when putting. Many players have reported that the playing pace is quite high on the course, which is not usual for Thai golf courses in general. During 2007, another nine holes are to be ready for play, designed by the man behind Springfield — that is the world-renowned Jack Nicklaus.

In connection to the course, accommodation is being offered. Even if the staff is very nice, the standard of the accommodation has been questioned. Furthermore, there are not many amenities within the area.

The website of the golf course and the resort can be found at www.kaengkrachanresort.com.
