Koh Tao
Together with Similan Islands on the West Coast, Koh Tao is Thailand’s most well-known diving spot. The easiest way to get to Koh Tao from Hua Hin is by first going to Chumpon and from there take the ferry. Considering the distance from Hua Hin, Koh Tao is not really a day trip, meaning you might well want to stay a night or two once getting there. Among other things, Koh Tao is famous for the whale-sharks that can be seen when exploring the surrounding waters. An amazing several-days trip from Hua Hin is to visit Koh Tao together with Koh Phangan and Koh Samui, by taking the catamaran Lomprayah High Speed Ferry.
