Ban Bang Pu is a typical Thai fishing village located not far from the temple Wat Ban Bang Pu. The village is characterized by its houses with traditional Thai architecture. It is possible to get to Ban Bang Pu in a number of different ways. One of the most exciting ways is certainly to get there with the cruiser Mai Thai — a cruiser throughout built in wood. You get on the ship at Hua Hin’s haven and the cruiser will then take you in southern direction, along the coast line, all the way down to Khao Sam Roi Yot (see further below). You will have a nice lunch at the fishing village of Ban Bang Pu before the cruiser takes you out to the “Monkey Island”, where you can enjoy yourselves with some swimming and snorkelling. A day trip with Mai Thai is about 2,000 baht. The trip can be booked at Mai Thai Cruise & Travel on Naresdamri Road.
