In Cha-Am, not far away from the city center, is the ancient temple Wat Mahathat located. Here you will find a five-pinnacle pagoda which was built during the Khmer era some 800 years ago. Inside the temple, there are a large number of Buddha statues that are highly respected among the Thais.
