Marukhataiyawan Palace
Markukhataiyawan Palace is located in direct connection to the beach between Hua Hin and Cha-Am. The palace, which was refurbished not too long ago, is also known as the “Palace for Love and Hope” and was established on King Vajiravudh’s (Rama VI) initiative. It was the King himself who designed the palace. From inside the main building, visitors have a magnificent view over the Gulf of Thailand. The rooms of the palace are large and spacious, thus an excellent venue for the different kinds of theatre performances that at times take place at the premises. Visiting this palace is virtually a must when staying in Hua Hin. It doesn’t take much time to get there by car from the city center. Moreover, the entrance fee is quite reasonable (100 baht for adults as well as for children). Marukhataiyawan Palace is open daily between 8 am and 4 pm.
