Klai Kang Won (“Far Away from Worries”) is the summer palace of the Thai King and Queen. The palace is one of the main reasons why the interest for Hua Hin is so substantial, not only amongst the Thais but also amongst the Westerners. The area is located a couple of minutes north of central Hua Hin, between the main street Petchkasem Road and the ocean, and consists not only of buildings but also a huge garden.
