The Black Mountain Show Villa Now Complete
On Thailand’s best new golf course, according to Asian Golf Monthly, the first property is now complete. The slightly more than 600 square meters type-A show villa is sited just around 100 meters diagonally behind the club house. This rather stunning piece of property is the subject of the below “room-by-room” review.

The mountain slope location calls for a split-level design, having the entrance with parking place and maid’s room in the back. The villa is entered on the second floor with a spacious foyer making the most out of the panoramic view of the golf course through massive floor-to-ceiling glass sections covering the projecting front of the villa. The foyer, furthermore, leads to the staircase as well as to all three second-floor bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and sun terraces.

The ground floor layout is markedly open with large, only semi-divided spaces. The master bedroom, of course though, is enclosed with a door — otherwise the ground floor level is one large, integrated area for living, relaxing, dining and cooking. This semi-integration of different areas continues with a fluid border between indoors and outdoors. The terrace, connecting the 16-meter swimming pool with the villa, both has a roofed living/dining area and a sun deck. The front side of the villa can be opened up completely through the advanced sliding and folding mechanism of the glass doors.

Speaking of which, the glass doors and windows are perhaps the most striking (as well as costly) feature of the villa: thick, solid, grey, German-made aluminium profiles with internal air gaps, double glazed with argon gas in between — all with the purpose of creating the best mix of maintenance-free durability, light inlet, heat and sound blockage as well as keeping as much as possible of the cool air inside.

Other central parts of the materials selection include dark-stained teak wood and black granite — both polished and unpolished. All fabrics come from Jim Thompson in cream, beige, bronze and grey colours — to create a balancing crossing in between the white walls and ceilings, on the one hand, and the dark-shaded wood and stone surfaces, on the other hand.

So, what is then the purpose of the show villa? Of course to make visible the actual appearance of the type-A villa, but perhaps even more to display what level of design, materials and finish that can be expected from the properties at Black Mountain Golf Club. Should you want to know more about the show villa, please contact the Golf Club directly at www.bmghuahin.com.
