Hua Hin is Thailand's
Golfing Mecca!
Welcome to the Golfing Paradise of Thailand!

In and around Hua Hin, you will find no less than eight golf courses that can be reached in 5 to 30 minutes by car. For a long time, Springfield has had the highest reputation, but also Lake View, Palm Hills and Majestic Creek have received good reivews. As recently as in April 2007, Black Mountain was completed by Swedish investors, and it seems highly likely this course can seriously challenge the established ones as far as the “best in town” title goes. The next course to see the light is Banyan, which is expected to open early 2008.

In order for your not having to spend too much time browsing through this golfing jungle, we have made a compilation of the golf clubs in the Petchaburi and Prachuap Khirikhan provinces. We hope the below information can serve as a handy guide.

To Think About
Of course, it is possible to carry around your own clubs during a golfing day at one of Hua Hin’s courses. You are, however, expected to rent a caddy and that should be respected. It does not cost much and at times they might give you some remarkably good advice, e.g. when asked on the slope of a green — whereas at other times their advice may not be of the highest quality. After a round of golf, it is customary to give some 300 baht tip to your recently gained friend.
